Elegant family garden Stoke Newington
Project overview
We created an impactful yet practical space for our clients in Stoke Newington. Two terraces, a hidden play area, circular lawn, storage space and a bold planting scheme to offer year round interest and pace change through the garden.
Design process and result
This garden, which had been left to itself for over 20 years, was redesigned with a "Cotswold to California" theme. Two patios- one for dining, one for lounging, storage, kid's play area and lawn are surrounded by a planting scheme that celebrates year round colour and structure with soft, playful shapes towards the house, becoming more architectural as one journeys through, evergreen interred for winter and bulb programme to add colour in Spring.
Colour was key not only in the planting but on boundaries with a pink feature wall and charcoal fencing to emphasise the greenery enclosed. Upon completion the client loved their new space. It's versatility for entertaining, relaxing and kid's playing.
